Guide to Faucets
A cryptocurrency faucet is a rewarding system, in the form of a website or app, that dispenses cryptocurrency rewards in exchange for completing various tasks typically a captcha or any other task described on the website. The name is actually a metaphor because each reward appears to be insignificant, like the water drops dripping from a faucet into a water bucket, yet, over time it is possible to accumulate a significant amount into your cryptocurrency wallet.

The first bitcoin faucet was called The Bitcoin Faucet and was developed by Gavin Andresen in 2010 giving out out 5 bitcoins per person in order to promote the idea of cryptocurrency.
